We loaded up on Saturday and met Anna, Jason and Noah at the Greenville zoo. We had a great time. Lucy McLean was very amazed by all of the animals. Some of them scared Noah, but he warmed up to them! Here are pictures from our adventureGrammy... yep, that is your grandaughter interested in a SNAKE!!! For those of you who know my mom, you know that is her one and only fear/phobia. Well, she hates going to the dentist too, but she doesn't flip like she does over a snake. As a child, I remember putting garden snakes in my bookbag and then asking her to get something out of it. My mom would lose it. That still makes me laugh!!! Love ya mom!

Potty Training?!
I know it is gross...but I just have to let the world know what our little "stinker" did yesterday morning. Megan had come over to bring Andie over for the day. Lucy McLean was getting out of the bath and was excited that Andie was there, so she ran out of the bathroom naked. She immediately climbed up on her new (daddy's old) rocking chair and started to look back over at her mama and Aunt Mu Mu and started grunting. I will leave the rest to your imagination. I so wish I would have had a video of this. Grampy says it is her way of letting us know she is ready for potty training. I say if he is so excited about it, he can come up here and do it for a few days! HAPPY MONDAY!

New Kitchen Table...
So the wish list continues. Now I am looking for a round table for our house. We put our other dining room table in storage because it was too big for our house. I love it, but just didn't have the room right now. Since then, we have been eating at our bar. Since the bar will hopefully be taken out some time this summer, I would like a round table to go with the banquette we will be building... So I found these two.
This one is from IKEA (only $250)
This one (above) from Target is on clearance for only $174.00
This one from PB is only $599 ;). I love the storage underneath, but would love to find a knockoff! Any ideas?
P.S. Ryan is probably ready to strangle me with all of my ideas. A girl can dream though right?

Pondering?!
So, my mom and I are trying to decide how to spell "Grandpy". Is it in fact with a "d"? Or should it be "Granpy" or "Grampy"? So confused... what is your take? You know, we have to have this right, Lucy McLean is 13 months old and may start wanting to spell it at anytime!
P.S. I will own that I am type A!
On a happy note, I am done with the semester. WOOHOO. No more classes...until June 2nd :(.

I can hardly believe it...
But I received an award. How I received it seeing how all of my family calls to tell me I don't update the blog enough I don't know... but thanks for flattering me Laura! So, here is how this works... I think.
1. When given the award, you list 7 things that you love
2. Pass along the award to 7 bloggers that you love, tag them and let them know they've won. {Tagees: Don't forget to copy the picture of the award for your blog'orama...post & sidebar.}
So... 7 Things I love:
1. Shrimp & Grits...yuuummmm
2.My grandmother's fried chicken (can you tell I am hungry)
3. cutie patootie kids clothing MONOGRAMMED (even if Melissa picks on me for it)
4. Rainbows (the comfy kind you wear on your feet... not that the other one's that God has blessed us with aren't fabulous as well)
5. Cheerwine... can I get whoop whoop from my fellow Rowan County natives (for those of you who don't know, Cheerwine originated in MY hometown. I expect a pat on the back next time you see me).
6. The sound of children laughing. I could listen to it FOR HOURS!! (which I guess isn't actually a "thing" in the noun sense
7. school/office supplies
P.S. I had typed out my list and had lots of people on it, then I realized that they aren't "things"! Ooops!
