The Cooks!

My Wonderful Nephews (and BFF of course)
I just have to say that this is one awesome picture. Jamie took it with her self-timer on her camera. Rudy and Gibson are so handsome. I have to say, their cousin Snoop would NEVER be able to take such a good picture. Jamie and Josh are also hot of course! It would be better without the Duke shirt though. But, they are still newlyweds, Jamie still has a lot to teach him!

I miss you Jamie and can't wait to see you in November!
Snoop sends slobber and licks to all of the Cooks!

High Tech Classrooms

I have to say, I feel blessed to work in a school system that works hard for teachers to have every available resource that is out there. I was even more excited when I found out that I had received a projector and elmo for my class this year.

So, I don't have my Y cable yet, so my projector is hooked up straight to my computer and my screen ends up taking the place of my monitor. Are you with me? So, the computer looks as if it is off, but everything you do on the computer, is actually being displayed for the entire class to see.

So, I had this boy who was driving everyone around him crazy, so I moved him to the extra space over by the computers. He is sitting over there "doing his work" when I hear a little boy go "OHHHHHH.... Mrs. Shelton, look what Colter is typing." I look straight over to the little boy whose jaw is literaly touching the ground and his eyes are about to pop out of his head. Then my eyes make their way to the screen in front of the class where the letters "A-S-S" are typed over and over again, taking up the entire screen.

I, at this point, am trying not to make eye contact with the lady I team teach with. Needless to say, this didn't work and we ended up crying we were laughing so hard.

Oh the joys of teaching!!!

My sarcastic husband

Yes, Ryan found it necessary to change our Blog yesterday when I was walking. He finds the whole thing a little stalkish. I can, to some degree, agree with him. I also understand that I have been trying to cut back on our cell phone minutes (since he has almost had an anurism sp? every month since we have been married when we get our bill). So, my excuse... it's either this way of keeping up with everyone, or a lot of cell phone conversations ;)!
On a more serious note, I do feel very blessed to have this crazy man in my life. He is so sincere (even when he is sarcastic) and loves me unconditionally. I feel blessed to know that throughout the day, there is someone who is putting my best interest first and is thinking about me and praying for me. He is an amazing husband and I have loved every minute of being married to him and sharing life with him.
I am sure that the next 6 months will be a whirlwind and I know there will be times when he is ready to hurt me, but I know that he will love me through the ups and downs of our pregnancy. I can only imagine how well this miracle will be treated by their Daddy. I can't wait to see him as a Father. Ryan, thank you for making me laugh and for loving me like crazy and most of all... for putting up with me and my stalking tendancies! I know the Lord has his hand over our marriage and I feel blessed to be right where I am in life, with you!

Snoop's Big News!

Yep! Snoop couldn't hold it in any longer. He is very excited about the arrival of his new baby brother or sister in March!
For those of you who are asking, no we are not getting a new dog! Ryan and I are expecting our first "real" child in March. We are very excited about this new journey. Please say a little prayer for Baby Shelton.
