Whew... another week down

This has been another crazy week without a moment to sit down and take it all in. We had something going on every night this week. Ryan is coaching til 7 every night and while he is loving it, it is also exhausting. I had class Monday night, Open Classroom Tuesday, Class Wednesday, BUNCO Thursday and then we spent the night in the Urgent Care Friday. Ryan has had a disgusting rash that has been coming up off and on since last Thursday. Come to find out it is the hives and they can't tell us what it is coming from. Go figure! So, he is doped up on medications and praying that it is something that doesn't happen again.

Friday was Field Day at school. Because it rained all week, they decided to move the festivities inside. I have to admit that I was not thrilled about this at first. It did, however, work out just fine. The kids had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed seeing them smile and enjoy the day.

This weekend was a blast. Saturday, I went to the Halloween Festival downtown with some friends. Can't not celebrate Halloween when you live in Transylvania County! Here are some pictures of the cutest little kids ever!

Oh and no baby nephew yet. Be praying for Anna and Jason. Their due date was today. We can't wait for Noah to arrive.

Baby Shelton's First Halloween Party

Ok, so Baby S didn't officially get to see everyone and enjoy in the plainting pumpkins and crazy toddler madness, BUT they did get to hear everything going on and enjoy the DELICIOUS food! Here are some pictures from the adventure. We had a blast visiting with old friends and seeing their children. Boy how time flies!!!

Trent (look at those eyes!)
Ivy kissing the book
Parker (who amazingly looks a lot like your Parker Sara, don't you think?!)
Amanda and Michael (parents of Sawyer)
Amanda (Ivy's mom) with her nephew Trent
Alicia and Trent painting the pumpkin
Payton painting
Sawyer eating the paint... he is ALL BOY!
Ivy attempting to walk. The child could tell you anything you want to know, but the walking thing is just not for her yet!
Ryan practicing! This made me soo excited!

Ivy the Scarecrow
Sawyer the Pirate
Payton the Lady Bug
Michael and Sawyer playing
Look Daddy... one handed!
Amanda and Alicia (I meant Ivy and Trent), thank you for inviting us to the party. We had a lot of fun, even doing voodoo! We will see what Baby S is?!?!

What we have been up to....

Family Dinner (last weekend)... little late of a post!
Happy Birthday to Kara!
Aunt Joyce and Uncle Paul (who, along with my dad, is not allowed to be on ANYONE'S BABY NAME COMMITTEE)
Aunt Sue, Uncle Hill (who looks thrilled to be having his picture taken) and Glenda
Lisa, Kara and Chad
Tiara, Mom and Terry

Along with being able to go home last weekend to see Mary Allison in homecoming, we also had a family dinner for Kara's birthday. It was so much fun to see everyone and laugh together. I can't imagine what the men in our family must think. For three generations (that are still living), there are no men who are blood relatives, just crazy men who lost their minds and decided they wanted to be a part of the madness! In all honesty, these are some of the finest women who ever walked the face of this earth and I love them dearly. They are a lot of fun to be around and too funny! P.S. We missed you Leigh Ann, Jerel and Ryan! There are others too, but we are all "the regulars".
I also was able to go to a shower for my sister, brother-in-law and NEPHEW NOAH!!! I can't wait for his arrival. Our phone actually just rang about 5 minutes ago and it was my father-in-law on the other line. My heart started racing thinking Anna may be on the way to the hospital. No luck, just a friendly reminder of a family reunion tomorrow. My in laws know their son so well! Fortunantly for them, I haven't forgotten for one second that I get to enjoy my mother in laws cooking tomorrow! WOOHOO! Please say a little prayer for the upcoming arrival of Noah. I can't wait to meet him and spoil him.
And after a long week.... this is what Ryan came home to today. Snoop and I had a nice long nap, in which Ryan partook in promplty at 5 when he arrived from work. At 6:30 we ordered pizza, ate it in the bed, put it in the fridge and went right back to sleep. I woke up at 8:45 and have been working on grad work for two hours. I am now going back to bed and actually feel like I am going to go right back to sleep. Ahhh... the joys of being pregnant. Not that I had a problem sleeping before Baby S came along to live inside me for 9 months!

My Mimi's Growing Up

My high school's homecoming was last weekend. I went home because Mimi was on the court. Mary Allison is such a wonderful young woman and I am so proud of her. It seems like yesterday that she was following me around at my high school games. Boy has time flown! Congrats Mimi. I love you and miss you!
